RESEARCH - What we are doing...

We have just completed a project for the 24/7 youth workers in schools which was funded by the Todd Foundation. This was a web based survey of young people in Christchurch High Schools to discover their views on the Rebuild of Christchurch.youth%20voice%20survey%20results%20final

Four and a half thousand students took part and 500 indicated that they would like to participate in more research. We are now going to undertake focus groups with some of those young people to explore their views further thanks to the generosity of the Todd Foundation

We are undertaking an evaluation of a brief intervention of alcohol use being carried out by the Family Planning Association. This will be a multi-centre randomised control trial of a brief intervention compared to treatment as usual using text methodology, to find out if the intervention made any difference to the use of alcohol and risky sexual behvaiour.
