Youth Health Manual

Enhancing the Skills of Primary Care Practitioners In Caring for All Young New Zealanders.

Adolescent health problems are often complex and require a comprehensive, biopsychosocial approach. The Youth Health Manual outlines the skills needed for working with the young person and their family, while addressing the developmental, cultural and environmental factors that influence their health status.

Whilst the manual was originally designed with the primary health practitioner in mind, recommendations from a number of people who have used it outside the primary healthcare setting suggest that it is applicable to a much wider audience of people working with young people.
